A huge trend this year is the naked Christmas tree. So don't even think about putting ornaments on yours.

If we've learned anything this year it is that 2020 is unlike any year before. So why not continue that trend right into our Christmas decor. Give your ornaments some time off because this year it's all about the tree.

From Pinterest to Pier One, naked trees are the way to go when creating the home that you want this season. They are simple and beautiful and exactly what we all need after this crazy year. So what is a naked tree? A naked tree is one that has simple white lights, little to no ornaments or decorations, and a natural covering at the based known as a collar. These are typically made of wood, burlap, rattan, whicker, or natural fibers. The simplicity is what makes this such a beautiful statement.

Pinterest

Many of the top names in social media and home decor marketing are embracing the naked tree. A quick search on Pinterest will yield many variations and inspirations, from Liz Marie Blog to Maison de Pax and even Boutique Rugs.

Instagram

Instagram is full of beautifully undecorated Christmas trees. With as many posts that can be found on this platform, it is clear that these simple trees are making a big impact.

Lifelovelarson and Fleur_at_home have trees that are completely beautiful.

Retailers

Even large home decor retailers are embracing the idea of a naked tree as well. Whether it be to promote a rug or some seasonal decor, a simple and beautiful tree can be found in their advertising images.

I don't know how long this trend will stick around but I am loving that it is here now. I have a couple of challenges with decor this Christmas season, a new cat, a puppy and a couple of toddler grand babies, and I think this will be a beautiful solution for this year. Watch closely in your own social media and ad campaigns and I bet you will start to notice this trend more and more.
